Satan, Sin and Shame

Satan's sentence is to a devil's domain, where suffering and shame is the name of the game.  God is his enemy and trickery is his best friend. He will take you for everything, leaving you with nothing, but a bitter end.

Insignificant, in the Lord's world, yet a fixture in ours. More than an enigma, less than God, aware of his power, afraid of the Lord's strength. Who is he to you and what are you to him? To you, he can be an  instigator, a infiltrator and an annihilator. Unless you choose the Lord as you Savior, to be your protector and separator.

None can consume God's wrath and live, in this day, nor in days past. Choose now.

Who Took Their Wings?

Where can they turn when the streams have all run dry?
Should they simply die, fall down and cry or maybe try.
Well, try is what they do, and often they fool me and even you,
into thinking they're alright, surviving and doing just fine.
Until scars begin to show and tears begin to flow,
it is then we get a glimpse of the brokenness, the frailty and the shame.
Oh you know them, you've seen them, passed them, didn't even ask their name,
toddlers, babies, boys, girls, lost souls in new found atrocities,
that feed on innocent vessels and unsuspecting commodities.
Where can they go, those sweet little angels, who are destined to fall,
into the hands of child hater's and abuser's, who lie in wait for them all.
They have no protection and no home, just a house, where they live alone,
looking at people pass them by, who pretend to care; but they know they're on their own!

Provoking God In America "Guilty"

I've noticed that during the days of "the kings of Israel" each succession of leaders was more wicked than the previous. And because of this, those who followed them, became comfortable with committing sins that were more egregious, than those of their forefathers. And if we look back over the last 100 years of our lifetime, we see evidence of the same. America and the world as a whole, is living out this same error. Forgetting God and indulging in unspeakable acts of passion, murder and corruption, is common today, yet uncommon 100 years ago.
Have we not provoked the Lord too?

1 Kings 16; 29-34
29 In the thirty-eighth year of Asa king of Judah, Ahab the son of Omri began to reign over Israel, and Ahab the son of Omri reigned over Israel in Samaria twenty-two years. 30 And Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of the Lord, more than all who were before him. 31 And as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, he took for his wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonians, and went and served Baal and worshiped him. 32 He erected an altar for Baal in the house of Baal, which he built in Samaria. 33 And Ahab made an Asherah. Ahab did more to provoke the Lord, the God of Israel, to anger than all the kings of Israel who were before him. 34 In his days Hiel of Bethel built Jericho. He laid its foundation at the cost of Abiram his firstborn, and set up its gates at the cost of his youngest son Segub, according to the word of the Lord, which he spoke by Joshua the son of Nun. Calling All Christians Who Judge Sins Of Others; Considering The Primary Cause Of Obesity; Is It A Sin To Be Fat Or Over Weight?

Calling All Christians Who Judge Sins Of Others; Considering The Primary Cause Of Obesity; Is It A Sin To Be Fat Or Over Weight?

1 Kings 14; 12,13

"As for you go back home,. When you set foot in your city the boy will die. (13) All Israel will mourn for him and bury him. He is the only one belonging to Jeroboam who will be buried, because he is the only one in the house of Jeroboam in whom the Lord, the God of Israel has found anything good.
Basically, some households seemed to have a family full of bad people. Now, God would have known which ones if any, had some good in them. But to the naked human eye, everything looked bad. I'm talking about those who had alcoholics for father's and even alcoholics for mothers. And then there were mothers, who had become slaves to drugs and children who were turned out into a uncaring world, to fend for themselves.
Many of those families produced much of the chaotic dysfunctional families we see today. They raised up children who did as they pleased and as they had been trained. They were trained by default. In essence, they lived what they observed. Such a tragedy and shame.

There are so many ways our children reap what we've sown that's it's scary. Often we don't even realize how and why they do what they do....Yet the answer is right there in our face, in the mirror even!

Family

Family is something we love and can't do without...We're usually elated to see them come, and happy to see them go, "back home that is!"
Each one of us houses a different picture of what family represents. Some carry around visions that are painful to think about. And then there are too many, who don't know the meaning of family.
However, the largest visual representation of family, comes from people who love each other unconditionally. Now that does not mean that these families are perfect. It just means that love is blind and "blood is thicker than water, which makes them perfect for each other."

How Many Times Does He Have To Tell Us? Is Disobedient Your Middle Name?

The more I read God's Word the more I realize how much we really are like children. As I read through various books of the bible, specifically, "The Book of Joshua through The Book of 2 Kings." God repeatedly told leader's of Israelites, as well as "lay" Israelite, what they had to do in order to receive his blessings. "Clearly the center of God's desires encompassed obedience."

God also taught Israelite leader's how to lead his people, through prophesy, dreams and through elders. However, like little children they obeyed for a while and then they became rebellious and even mischevious. They went their own way and did as they wanted.

In the Book of Solomon, we see that Solomon, son of David, received God's blessings of wisdom, riches and success, just for the asking, in exchange for obedience. Yep, there were "covenants of obedience" established for each generation to honor. In essence, God wanted Solomon to walk the walk, in order to receive his blessings.

Now Solomon started off good. And because of that, under his rule, Israel experienced peace, prosperity and promise for many years. His wisdom, gift to discern hearts and his astute ability to recognizing the difference between right and wrong was paramont, in his feat to rule his people successfully. In addition, God gave him gifts he had not asked for, like riches and honor ...so that in his lifetime, he would have no one equal to him. Essentially, Solomon became the most powerful, richest and wisest man in the world. But, in order to retain, remain and enjoy these gifts from God, "he had to walk in the ways of the Lord."

And like today, even back then, "riches and blessings from God" were not revered as they should have been. Even grace and mercy was often taken for granted." However, in Solomon's case, he eventually turned his back on God, losing the Lord's favor.

"Against God's commands, Solomon married Pharaoh's daughter,an Egyptian foreigner, who worshipped Pagan gods."
"Against God's commands, Solomon took on too many wives, many of them foreigners too. They were from nations where "the Lord told the Israelites not to intermarry with them"  because they would turn his heart after their gods.  Solomon had 700 wives of royal birth and three hundred concubines, and his wives led him astray. Solomon failed to follow the Lord completely as he had been commanded."

"To add flames to fire, Solomon built high places for detestable gods."
Thus the Lord became angry with Solomon, because he had forbidden Solomon to follow other Gods, but he did not listen.

"So the Lord said to Solomon, Since this is your attitude and you have not kept my covenant and my decrees, which I commanded you, I most certainly will tear the kingdom away from you and give it to your subordinates.

How often today do we see similar scenarios involving church leaders, world leaders, politicians and every day people, even in ourselves. It seems that no matter how much we acquire it's never enough. There's  always that hunger for more. And that kinda' hunger can never be satisfied here on earth.

Solomon's fall was caused soley by disobediance. .

In absence of riches, have you been here before? Maybe even including riches, have you been here before?

And most importantly, if you can relate to Solomon's errors personally, have you had an opportunity to make it right with God?

Solomon Was Warned
Before David "Solomon's father" passed on, he told him to be strong, show yourself a man, and observe what the Lord your God requires: Walk in his ways, and keep his decrees and commands, his laws and requirements, as written in the law of Moses, so that you may prosper in all you do and wherever you go, and that the Lord may keep his promise to me: If your descendants watch how they live, and if they walk faithfully before me with all their heart and soul, you will never fail to have a man on the throne of Israel.'  1 Kings 2; 1,4
So, through David, God was very clear and decisive in his instructions and expectations of Solomon. And Solomon understood. Yet, he disobeyed anyway! What a price to pay...

"Is There Something In Your Life You Need To Give Up Right Now?"

When we sacrifice, we give up something that means a lot to us. A sacrifice to God must represents something of substance and value. To sacrifice is to surrender a behavior, a thing and yes, sometimes we sacrifice people we love. In doing this we don't give up on them, we simply give them up to God, so that He can care for them and fix them. However, the good thing about making spiritual sacrifices is that, "God gives us back more than we sacrificed.
Actually, anything you give God was already his anyway.
It's like when we our children are young and they want money from us (parents), to buy  Christmas gifts. "They take the money as if they've earned it" or as if they're entitled to it. Then they buy us gifts with our own money...So technically, we're getting back what we've given them. That's what God does for us. Re-gifting is what He does 24/7.
What have you sacrificed to God lately?

News of Tsumani Hitting Japan

A few hours after I'd gone to bed last night, my husband came into our bedroom and woke me. He said that a Tsunami hit Japan'. As he talked, he grabbed the TV remote and turned CNN News.  A reporter was in the midst of showing footage of the aftermath of the Tsunami 's and the 8.9 earthquake.  I believe it was about here in Milwaukee was between 2-3:00am.  When he got the channel on, I saw the footage where a spread out wall of water had hit the Japan shore and wash out miles of houses, cars and buildings. I've never seen anything like this before.  The quake's epicenter was 373 kilometers.  It's been 100 years since anybody's seen an earthquake of this magnitude.
Unfortunately, its wrath has not completely subsided. The first tsunami wave is expected to strike Hawaii at around 8 am (eastern) this morning, and San Francisco at around 8:16 am (west coast time), Santa Barbara at 8:24 am, Santa Monica at 8:39am and La Jolla at 8:48 am.  People are tweeting all over the world in support of those who've been affected by this disaster.  The earthquake, which struck about 20 miles below the earth surface, hit about 250 miles from Tokyo, though residents there felt the tremors.

LAMENTATIONS 1:1

How lonely sits the city that was full of people! How like a widow she has become, she who was great among the nations!
She who was a princess among the provinces has become a slave.

Sorry For The Stupid Things I Do

Today I find myself wondering why I do some of  the things I do.

"You know like not thinking before I act."

"I guess insanity really is doing the same things over and over again, and expecting different results.”

Lord, am I insane?

"You can be honest with me."

Oh, I know..."I should give up doing stupid things for Lent!  Because right about now, I feel like that would be an ultimate sacrifice."

Unless A Woman Is Blind Cripple and Crazy; She Knows When A Man’s Not Marriage Material or “If He Doesn’t Want To Marry Her!”

Hey Cuz, I'm not Sandra but, I had to comment further on this; what tips did the author give about long term relationships which would increase a woman's odds of marriage? I read the article and can't identify any."One tip I can give is for women to understand their worth and for men to value that worth" which goes beyond the "P." But, that won't happen in this lifetime, because everything is "OOC." Too many people are looking for love in all the wrong places and with all the wrong people. After all, opposites often attract. Women want men who don't want them as a "wife" and vice versa.'
Being a boomer, I am constantly amazed at what flies as advice and "earth shattering" info these days. First the post is blazing with color and exploits women...half naked. The title of the post was the initial attention getter and second was the vivid color of the post and of course 3rd, is the curvy half naked women.
So what woman doesn't know that if a man can get the milk, without buying the cow, he won't bother to buy the cow?."Old school." The cow is indicative of "big", a chore. You gotta' feed it, clean up behind it and provide shelter for it. The milk is the prize a cow delivers. They all want that milk, but a large number don't want the responsibility of co-existing with the cow, in order to get the milk.
Unless a woman is blind, crippled and crazy, she see's red flags for days in relationships, where men don't want to commit or marry. But women like to fix stuff. So sometimes we think we can make a man marry us. Not!

There is nothing new under the sun.... You can spit this a hundred different ways, but at the end of the day the bottom line is the same.

Women know very well when they are just the "P" and men know very well there's no shortage of them. Many women are just the "P" because they hook up with men who only want the "P" and then try to make them want the "CR" which is a committed relationship...

News Wire

News Wire

Well today was a little cloudy, but my heart was filled with sunshine. I guess that's something to shout about. My husband and I are going to his brother's house today for dinner. He and his wife are leaving for Israel in a few days. I'm excited for them and uneasy at the same time. So much unrest and war? I guess it's times like this you test your faith. Thank God my brother-in-law and sister-in-law are Christians, who are also pastors and are not afraid...

Today I learned The Meaning Of Sacrifice

Well today is a new beginning for me. Once again I've been enlightened. For the last several days I've been struggling mentally, about how to blog about issues that would be pleasing in God's sight and keep the world interested at the same time. Initially I thought I'd done enough, when I started up my "Babe in Christ" blog on Wordpress.org, a few months ago. However, over the course of time, I came to realize that I was not giving Him my all. You see, I have another blog "Bloggerneecy" which I've had a while. This blog was my baby. There I blogged about life, music and issues related to the world. And I had a passion for putting together strong content for that sight. Needless to say, my other blogs suffered, because for those I had to struggle to identify and create good substance. So, because of this problem, I decided to stop blogging in my Blogger blog, months ago, but I see it's still here? Then a few days ago, I made a decision to shut down my "Bloggerneecy blog." Searching and reaching for something real and tangible, making these decisions proved to be equivalent to "bandaid solutions." Yet, in my heart I felt the need to focus on my "Babe in Christ blog." So "Babe in Christ" it was. My other blogs had to go, so I thought. But as I said,  my Blogger blog is still here for some reason.

What prompted and compelled me to choose my 'Babe in Christ blog" was the state of this wicked world. I mean really, as I listen to news and see what blogger's are blogging about and what TV producers and music producers are calling entertainment and real news, I'm concerned. I'm concerned with being caught up in meaningless activity and basically I'm concerned about my soul.
These observations gave me the wisdom to look at my blogs and at the content closer. After doing that, it seems as if I was prompted to ask myself; "am I feeding my readers or fooling them?" You see if I'm not taking this opportunity to serve God through my blogs, then I'm fooling my readers into thinking that garbage is good. Therefore, I had to weigh my content and it's relativeness to the Word of God. Needless to say "I found that even I had a lot of junk in my blogger's trunk."

Then I realized that there's no junk in the bible. What this means is that when God speaks through you, your words will always be inspirational and strong for Christians and non-Christians. In essence, you will never run out of  the Word. Today I'm blogging with Jesus in mind and God is at the front

In order to come to this point in my life, I had to sacrifice. Now when I read "2 Samuel 24;24", I learned something very valuable bout sacrifice. First I learned the true meaning of sacrifice.

"No matter how much you give up or give in, it's not a sacrifice unless it cost you something."

This is what I didn't get up until now....What does that mean? Cost you something! When it cost you something, you had to give up something to get it. Time, money, freedom, what have you given up as a sacrifice to God? I chose time and some of my freedom. I will spend more time blogging about issues that concern my salvation and salvation of others and I will use the freedoms that I have in this life to do that.

King David told Araunah, I insist on paying you for it. I will not sacrifice to the Lord my God burnt offerings that cost me nothing.  2 Samuel 24;24

Long story short, I've decided to use "Blogger" for my daily bible reads. This way reader's on Blogger can join me as I journey through the bible. Tomorrow I will be begin reading the "1 Book Of Kings."
